Over the years I have acquired a huge collection of exercise DVD’s.
Here are my favorites….
Fast & Effective
If you are really not crazy about exercising but want to do more than “just trying” to be more active throughout the day, try the 20 minute a day plan. Do a short warm up. Then perform 20 minutes of exercise alternating days of aerobics with days of working either your upper or lower body. On the aerobic days vary your intensity to get the maximum benefit. This is explained in detail in Bill Phillips Body for Life: 12 Weeks to Mental and Physical Strength and in The South Beach Diet Super Charged Book
Highly recommended for this method:
Intense & Sweaty
If you love to work out, enjoy the feel of your body, and are aiming for ultimate buffness (and remember diet plays a major role). Try some of the following workouts 6 days a week alternating aerobics with upper and lower body. Cathe Friedrich rules with some of the toughest workouts on the market. The Firm produces excellent workout videos. Many of the older Firms are outstanding as are the new ones.
Exercise Who Me?
You know you need to exercise but totally can’t stand it. Try to fit in a walk everyday. Pick up a few in home walking tapes and get moving. You can do them rain or shine. There is no jumping around, just simple marches and sidesteps. To cheerlead you on, Leslie Sansone is queen of the walkers. Her chatty style will get you moving and you can choose your miles in many of her DVD’s.
Whatever you choose…don’t forget to park your car a few extra feet from the grocery store to get in a little extra exercise
